The Capitol Federal Amphitheater® clear bag policy will speed up the entry process into the venue, improve security, and limit touch points. Clear bags allow staff to check for prohibited items without having to touch or open a bag. This will also prevent staff from having to touch personal items of guests.

Permitted Items

  • One of the following is permitted:
  • Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag that does not exceed 12” x 12” x 6”.
  • Small clutch purse or wallet 4.5” x 6.5” (about the size of a hand) or smaller, with or without a handle or strap. This can also be taken into the venue inside one of the clear bags.
  • One clear gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziplock bag or similar).
  • Additionally, one of these items is permitted:
    • Binoculars without case
    • Infant feeding supplies

Bags will be inspected prior to entry. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Water Bottles

Guests can bring in one full unopened clear plastic disposable water bottle OR one empty clear plastic refillable water bottle no larger than 20oz per person. A water refill station is available. 

Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited. If any of these items are revealed during a search, patrons may dispose of the item, or they may return to their vehicle with the item. Capitol Federal Amphitheater® does not safeguard any personal belongings of any type. 

  • Bags, backpacks, or large purses. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
  • Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances, or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
  • Animals (Service animals are welcome)
  • Audio/Video recorders, professional cameras, or tripods
  • Cans, glass bottles, bottles, coolers, picnic baskets, or other similar containers
  • Fireworks
  • Flags or signs with poles
  • Frisbees
  • Glow Items (sticks, necklaces, bracelets, etc.)
  • Laser pens/Pointers of any type
  • Musical instruments
  • Noisemakers such as air horns
  • Outside food and beverage
  • Water bottles that do not adhere to our water bottle policy
  • Pepper spray or mace
  • Roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles
  • Selfie sticks, iPads, tablets, or computers
  • Signs larger than 8.5″ x 11″
  • Strollers/Wagons/Carts - may be restricted at specific events. Please visit the event page on this site for show specific prohibited items.
  • Weapons including pocketknives, tasers, firearms, & spiked jewelry (These items will be confiscated and not returned)
